Our Honeyfund

One of the things I didn't mention about the shower was the overwhelming success of the Honeymoon, in no short part due to the awesome job Michelle did with promoting it. Included in the shower invitation was this adorable poem:

Like many young couples these days,

Mike & Rachel have most things anyways.

So no need to go shopping and get yourself stressed,

Here's an idea that we'd like to suggest.

A honeymoon in Hawaii is how they'll start out their life,

In their long winding journey, as new husband and wife!

If you would like to be generous it is our request,

please make a contribution to their treasure chest.

For without the help of this little pun,

Their honeymoon would just not be as much fun!

Our family and friends responded so positively to the Honeyfund, it was an amazing surprise, considering most people had never heard of a honeymoon registry. At the shower Michelle set up these beautiful peg boards and decorated them. She also left decorating supplies for people to add to their envelopes before hanging them up on the board. It's amazing to think that are family and friends are helping to send us on our honeymoon trip of a lifetime and that so many of them have helped contribute these wonderful gifts for us. We absolutely cannot wait to go on this amazing trip!
