Mike and I went to Target this morning. While we were there we couldn't resist going down the pet toy aisle. Like any good parents, of course had to get a toy for the little guy. There were plenty to pick from, including an crocodile toy that Rocky had previously but destroyed him. We hated that toy because it was the loudest most obnoxious squeaking sound in the world but Rocky loved it probably because it made so much noise and never seemed to die until recently. We ended up picking out this purple mallard toy, it felt pretty indestructible and appeared to be made solidly. So we happily picked up the toy excited to bring it home to Rocky.
We got in the door and called for the little guy, he was so excited to get his new toy, tail wagging, jumping up and down to see what it was. He took his shiny new toy downstairs to play with it, squeaking loudly. We should have known better five minutes later when it got quiet, we should have known why. It was because Rocky had already killed his new toy. He only had it for five whole minutes before he managed to take the limbs off, thus opening up so it no longer squeaked. The poor mallard was dead already. Guess we should've sprung for the extra $3 bucks and gone with the crocodile after all, at least that thing would still be alive right now giving us a headache.
