St. Patty's Day 2012

There is one Holiday for certain that my mom "owns" every year and that is St. Patricks Day. It has become quite the tradition in our family and we look forward to it! We all gather together for my Mom's delicious corn beef and cabbage which have been transformed into my famous rueben sandwiches. We only eat them once a year which is kinda strange in a way because they are so delicious but it's such a nice treat to look forward to! It's such an event that she even makes two corn beefs for the dinner, one to make sandwiches with and one to eat because it's the best corn beef you'll ever have (at $30 a roast it better be). This year Bridget (and I, well mostly her) also made homemade Irish soda bread to have with our corn beef. I'll have to get the recipe from her to post on here.

As part of the festivities we now also take pictures of Rocky along with my mom's giant stuff leprechaun. Although he's looking like he had a little too much to drink himself, it's still highly entertaining. In fact last year's famous picture of Rocky actually really did make him! I submitted his picture to People Magazine for the "Erin Go Bark" segment of pets dressed for St. Patricks Day and can you believe they actually picked him!!!!!! I was so elated when I saw it, I got so excited and started screaming. He was one of 14 dogs that they picked for the website. Of course I think that he is the cutest but they must've thought he was pretty darn cute too! I was telling everyone all about it!!! In case you forgot what the famous picture was here it is again
My brother wanted to get in on the action posing for St. Patricks Day Pictures with Rocky. I think he enjoyed it more than the dog did!
