Wine Tasting

One of the other highlights of our stay with Nick and Stephanie was going wine tasting at Childress Vineyards. It was a good 45 minutes away from their place but well worth the drive. The winery is set on a beautiful piece of land with all the lush trees and grapes surrounding the main house on the property. Me, Mike and Stephanie all partook in the wine tasting festivities and enjoyed some delicious wines. Which was followed by an equally tasty lunch in the restaurant on the property overlooking the vineyards, where we had some delicious sandwiches and salads at the Bistro. Of course the day wasn't complete without Stephanie and I indulging and splitting a case of wine.

On the way back home we also got to stop by and see the hotel where Nick & Stephanie will be having their wedding reception when they get married next summer. We are so excited for them and can't wait for their special day. Of course I already consider Stephanie my sister-in-law already but next June it will become official. The hotel could where the reception will be held could not be more perfect for their venue. It is a beautiful hotel set on equally beautiful groups, surrounded by a golf course. It is the perfect place since most of the guests will be from out of town and the hotel itself was beautiful. Everything from the pool to the spa right on the grounds looked great. I already can't wait for my spa treatment. And of course the room itself will be perfect! I'm so excited for their special day and to officially welcome Stephanie into the family, and now it is less than a year to go!
