Earlier this month in what was surely a surprise we hosted (one of my best friends) Andrea's Bridal Shower. On a perfect December day and an introduction to the Christmas season, we gathered at Andrea's Matron of Honor's-Mother's House for a small & intimate event. Put together by all of the bridesmaids it was a beautiful day, filled with lots of Bridal & Christmas Cheer. The house was beautifully decorated and the food was mouth-watering. Each of the bridesmaids brought the food for the event and was passed around by servers. My contribution was hot spinach-artichoke dip (like at Applebees), tomato-mozzarella skewers and a giant salad (with craisons, pecans, Gorgonzola cheese and lot's of other yummy things in it).
When Andrea arrived she was so surprised, the Matron of Honor Rea had to tell her, "it's your bridal shower" because she was so taken aback. She received lots of beautiful gifts and a great addition to their new marriage was that each guest was asked to bring a Christmas ornament to fill their tree. I can't believe their wedding is almost here and in less than 2 months Andrea will wed her southern gentleman!
