Our Irish Tradition

For my second Irish feast we went over to Mom's on St Patricks Day for our annual tradition. It's something we have come to look forward to every year, our own special little tradition. It's nice that it is an "off" Holiday so something and less pressure than the other major Holidays throughout the year. We did our usual ruben sandwiches which were great.

And of course I made my car-bomb cupcakes as well. Those are the most labor intensive cupcakes ever, they take a good 3 hours or so to make, but I think I really got them down this year, after last year's icing adventure with Bridget. They turned out pretty good and I was able to do the icing quasi decently and I used my St. Patty's Day cupcake liners. I also enjoy them once a year.

Finally, here is our little Irish puppy and his leprechaun friend (who seems to lose more stuffing every year). This year they weren't hitting the booze though.....
